‘Inadvertent’ encounter: US, Chinese military planes come close over South China Sea
WASHINGTON: A US Navy P-3 plane and a Chinese military aircraft came close to each other over the South China Sea in an incident the Navy believes was inadvertent, a US official said on Thursday.
The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the aircraft came within 1,000 feet (305 meters) of each other on Wednesday in the vicinity of the Scarborough Shoal, between the Philippines and the Chinese mainland.
The official added that such incidents involving Chinese and American aircraft are infrequent, with only two having taken place in 2016.
The US aircraft was “on a routine mission operating in accordance with international law,” US Pacific Command said in a statement.
Today or tomorrow US and China will have to fight out for their supremacy.
Waiting when they will hit each other, they should feel taste of war which they are playing with other countries.
Should have shot the backstabbing duplicious chinese aircraft down
I guess it”s time China base it”s navy 100 metres from American territorial waters, just outside a navy base. After all, they are following international law. China is a bully, but America is bigger.
time to get tough on china….
What is a ”chinese military plane ! ?? And who in the world could ”fear” that ?? Chinese military strength and weaponry is LAUGHABLE when it comes
To comparison with the US!!! This is just something ”global news” of chinkiland would state !!
One finds it as routine incident nothing alarming.
