Manohar Parrikar, James Mattis resolve to further expand India-US defence partnership
NEW DELHI: India may be wary about how things will pan out with the new Donald Trump administration on the political, economic and other fronts, but there is no such pressing concerns on the bilateral defence ties.
India and the US have agreed to “sustain and take forward” the momentum of their expansive bilateral defence relationship, which is the keystone of their overall strategic partnership, in talks between defence minister Manohar Parrikar and his counterpart General James Norman Mattis on Wednesday evening.

Some people think India spending on defence is a waste of money, but a good business deal will give India the leverage over US. Its better to be a valuable business partner with mutual respect than be a begging bowl like Porkistan.
