Super fast Talgo

超快的Talgo

To ease your tiring train journey experience, Indian Railways is bringing the super fast Talgo train.

Talgo stands for Tren Articulado Ligero Goicoechea Oriol, which translates to light articulated train.

The first trial run was conducted between Bareilly and Moradabad in UP in May. Second trial was between Palwal and Mathura in July; completed at 180 kmph, covering 84 km in 38 minutes. The Talgo train completed its final trial between Delhi and Mumbai in less than 12-hours at a maximum speed of 150 km per hour.

The train consists of nine coaches, two executive class, four chair cars, a cafeteria, a power car and a tail-end coach for staff and equipment.

High speed Bullet train

Your wait is over.

The Indian Railways administration plans to begin construction work on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed corridor next year.

The bullet train is expected to cover 508 km between Mumbai and Ahmedabad in about two hours, running at a maximum speed of 350 kmph and operating speed of 320 kmph.

Rail Minister Surersh Prabhu promised to start bullet train in India in 2023.

Prabhu said railways have identified nine corridors for feasibility of semi-high speed rail.

The semi-high speed routes are Delhi-Chandigarh, Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysore, Delhi-Kanpur, Nagpur-Bilaspur, Mumbai-Goa, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Chennai-Hyderabad and Nagpur-Secunderabd. It would be cost effective for common people.

Maglev

Gone are the days of long and tiring train journeys for Indians. The railway ministry has already taken the first steps to implement state-of-the-art Maglev (magnetic levitation) trains within three years.

Indian Railways has already asked Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) to prepare a detailed project report within the next six months.

The train’s aerodynamic design can achieve speeds up to 500 kmph.

    Financially non-beneficial. No need to waste billions of rupees for fantasy. Also speed trains not suitable for Indian environment as tracks may need re-structuring and cannot stop obstructions from human and animals.

    经济上不可行,没必要浪费几十亿卢比

    高铁不适合印度目前的环境,铁轨得重铺,而且无法避免人和牲畜的入侵。

  3. 让我想起阿三的LCA,一开始立项时还算跟上时代,结果后来研制中不断提高要求,结果三十年后才出来,还达不到三代机标准,我们这.儿四代都服役了。

  4. 三哥以为高铁就只是换辆车吗? 高铁用的钢轨远不是铁皮车能比的 高铁要求无缝钢轨无砟轨道 就三哥国内都是一百年前英国人建的铁路我看悬 高铁的控制调度指挥体系也跟老式火车完全不同,还有高铁需要稳定的供电 就三哥国内糟糕的输电系统 停电不是家常便饭吗?这还只是我所知道的。 总之我认为三哥还是应该把国内各项基础设施完善一下。

  6. 昨晚刚好在ytb看到段b站转去的印度人搭乘郑州至北京高铁,以前日本旅游乘过新干线,然而体验了中日高铁后,中国胜,眼观中国高铁沿线然后说了一句:我觉得在印度建设高铁是不可能的事,虽然我也希望印度有高铁

  8. 差不多也该资助一批NGO帮助印度人民争取一下权益了,例如监督一下新铁路建设可能造成的环境问题、拆迁补偿中可能发生的欺压民众问题。如果可能的话,拉上欧美的各路人权机构一起干

  9. 需要的不是一条线路来拉选票 而是整个高铁网络和配套的统一市场政策 印度政客思考这问题的出发点就不对 动机就不纯
