NEW DELHI: At least 20 passengers died as 14 coaches of a Patna-Indore Express derailed near Pukharayam in Kanpur in the wee hours on Sunday.
IG Kanpur, Zaki Ahmed, said, so far 20 bodies have been recovered from the spot
The death toll is likely to increase, reports ANI. Many passengers are reportedly injured.
Spokesperson of Indian Railways, Anil Saxena, said, "Senior officials and medical team have been rushed to the spot. We are in contact with the district officials officials."
11月20日凌晨时分，巴特那开往印多尔的特快列车有14届车厢在坎普尔脱轨，至少20名乘客死亡。
迄今为止，已经在现场找到20具尸体。

Rather than indulging in fancy bullet trains the priority lies in upgrading minimum comforts for the aam passenger and most importantly making the journey secure by replacing the dilapidated tracks and improving the signal system.
