Chinese firm starts developing super bullet trains that can reach 373mph – that’s London to Paris in 34 MINUTES
China is planning to introduce a train that can run at 600km an hour (373mph) which can travel from Beijing to Shanghai in two hours.
A Chinese firm is researching and developing magnetic levitation trains that would be faster than any other in operation, reports the People’s Daily Online on October 22.
CRRC Corp. Ltd will also be researching cross-border trains that travel at 400km an hour (250 mph).
Chinese firm CRRC Corp. Ltd will start researching and developing a magnetic levitation train that can run up to 600km an hour (373mph).
Japan currently has the fastest Maglev train, reaching 603km an hour (374mph) during a test run.
The new train would be faster than any other Maglev train currently in operation, according to Chinese media.
It would also mean that the travel time between Beijing and Shanghai, two biggest cities in China, would be two hours.

Stories about other country’s rail systems. Offering travel time from London to France in 34 minutes! Seem to forget have wrong type of rain, snow, sunshine and leaves for any train to reach that speed in the UK! Not forgetting speed limits!

It’ll be built in record time too

Almost 400mph on something built in China? No thanks. I’ll wait until after I see them produce a reliable car.

Their trains are light years ahead of American trains.

Few months ago I took a train that ran at 290 to 300 km/hour. This is the normal speed for over a thousand of trains everyday commuting the whole nation. What is the usual speed of British trains? Still that snail-trains?

That’s nice, but Brexchitters are never going to want to go to France, so what’s the point? Plus I’m sure we’re capable of building a BRITISH train to connect our TINY, ISOLATED island! I’m sure it could go at least 150mph! Go Britain!

The UK and France will never build a maglev system alongside the LGV Nord Europe and HS1. Talk is that even HS2 is going to be axed. Maglev is much more expensive than steel wheel on rail systems. So no 34 minute trips between London and Paris. Now in China it may happen – the only commercial maglev system currently operating is in Shanghai.
