RIO DE JANEIRO: Two-time World Championship bronze medallist PV Sindhu stands just a win away from assuring India an elusive medal after she stunned London Games silver medallist Wang Yihan of China to enter the women's singles semifinals at the Rio Olympics here on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old Indian, who came into the match with a 2-4 head-to-head record, dished out a compact game to outmanoeuvre the more experienced Wang 22-20, 21-19 in a gruelling battle lasting 54 minutes.
两次世界锦标赛铜牌得主辛德胡，打败中国选手伦敦奥运银牌得主王仪涵后进入女子单打半决赛， 距离奖牌只差一场比赛胜利了。
21岁的印度选手，在历时54分钟的比赛中，以22比20和21比19战胜经验更为丰富的王仪涵。
