Nita Ambani becomes first Indian woman member of IOC
NEW DELHI: The founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani became the first Indian woman member of International Olympic Committee after being elected at the 129th IOC Session in Rio on Thursday.
Nita, who also founded the Indian Super League football tournament, was nominated for the post in June this year. She is the only individual member from India and her appointment at the world body is until she attains the age of 70.
who cares about her becoming member of IOC. She is only valued because of her monetary, whims, & fancies admired only by upper rich class.
Bro…what is her contribution to Indian athletics?…people will not be fooled by paid news.
Everyone rich or poor if making any efforts for sports or anything else should be appreciated. If Nita is trying to help Indian Indian sports, it is a great thing. She is a rich women and instead can spend time and money on luxury. All the five fingers are not same so do we, poor or rich. Look at work a person and not his/her cast religion or economical status.
exactly… what bothers me is the fact that she”s not even a sportsman :\

Suparna Roy Sarkar
Strange! We have many Olympian, they should have been selected for the prestigious position. It proves, if you have monetary power n big connections, you can get anything.
Money matters, why don”t P.T. Usha? Once again I understood money is big, not capability.
vvip treatment for mrs. ambani while our sisters are being raped and murdered.. what a joke huh!!!
In India, richest Indians – with no background or relation to sport – manage Sports and no wonder, India does not win even a single gold in Olympics. Who cares, so long as the richest loot thro sports.
Just because of the surname ambani ?
Nice fake Smile!!
Whats next ? RBI Governor or Chief minister of Gujarat
Sonal Dhodapkar Tikhe
congartulations to Nita Ambani! great
It is an honour to India,Nita Ambani,s relentless pursuit to promote sports in the country earned her this honour.
Is she qualified or just a money game
She should do something about the security of women in India
