Think you’ve got a bitter boss? Staff at a Chinese company are forced to eat bad-tasting squashes in front of colleagues for failing to reach sales targets
Management at a Chinese decorations company are ‘motivating’ apparently unproductive employees to hit sales targets, by forcing them to choke down bitter squash in front of co-workers.
The unusual ritual has been brought in at Leshang Decorations Corporation in Chongqing, south-west China, in order to push them to work harder for success, according to People’s Daily Online.
40 of the small corporation’s 100 employees were forced to stand up in a recent staff meeting and bite pieces out of the bad-tasting vegetables, much to the amusement of their colleagues.

Bitter melon tastes good and is good for you. It’s a common ingredient on chinese cooking, and it lowers your blood sugar levels. Everyone with T2 diabetes should be eating it.

It’s wong to punish them when you consider they are tasked to sell shoddy Chinese products. Utterly and simply wong.

We have worst procedures in the US, if you don’t hit outrageous sales targets (regardless of the trending economy) you will simply get fired.

Yeah, because humiliation is such a great motivational tool!! It’s not always laziness causing people to miss their target goals… sometimes sales are just slow!!
