BEIJING: Criticising the reported deployment of battle tanks by the Indian army near the Indo-China border+ , Chinese state-run media on Thursday said that the move may affect flow of Chinese investments into the country and called for joint efforts to avoid misunderstandings.
"A media report stating that nearly 100 Indian tanks have been positioned near the Indo-China border to counter any possible threat grabbed people's attention as more Chinese firms are looking to increase their investment in India," an article in the state-run Global Times said today.
"However, it is puzzling that while deploying tanks near China's border, India still strives to woo Chinese investment," it said.
"The deploying of tanks near the Indo-China border+ may hit a nerve within the Chinese business community, causing investors to weigh the threat of political instability when they make investment decisions," it said.
The article refers to reports of Indian army deployment of tanks in the Ladakh border to catch up with China's aggressive military and infrastructure build-up across the border.

Construction activities in the south china sea is good.Deployment of tanks on Indian border is bad. What sort of logic is this?
India is big consumer of Chinese product.......!!!! They would be in a big loss if we also started boycotting......Many countries are in line to invest in India.....!!!!!!!
Chinese think Indians are stupid!
China''s logic is to serve itself. If China want to withdraw the investment; so be it. India should not succumb.
India is growing at a faster pace than china. if china wants to grow and wants to do investments in India, they are welcome after tight scrutiny. The present Indian government is well powered and well aware of its right and responsibility to protect the mother land (unlike previous CONgress government). So please dont lecture us on what to do. on the contrary let us remind u to please remind your own (dirty) business.
they should worry about their investment not us
Chinese business houses are here to make money, they will not care if tanks are deployed or otehrwise. We should summarily learn to ignore such provocative threats.
IN this world today, China is trusted only by a failed nation called Pakistan...and that in itself tell the chinese position....UNSC was given to China by India and now they are acting and behaving like a true traitor......we do not need Chinese investment....let them keep it
China should worry, not India.
Who wants the Chinese investments. They are highly selfish and egoistic people.

China suffers from superiority complex. This is their greatest folly. Times have changed with Congress out.
If India deploys tanks China will not invest. It is a black mail. If India does not deploy it shall still continue its blackmail policy. Either way it is blackmail so better deploy and be in position to defend against possible Chinese hostile behaviour.
