President reminds China how India backed China’s UN membership
BEIJING: President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday recalled the Indian support to China’s membership of the UN in the 60s and 70s and the restitution of its permanent membership of the Security Council, in comments that assume significance after Beijing blocked India’s bid in the world body to ban JeM chief Masood Azhar.
In his address at the elite Peking University, he referred to the establishment of the diplomatic relations between India and China in 1950 and the bilateral relations that have been tested by difficulties and challenges in the last seven decades.
The period has demonstrated the determination of the Indian people to safeguard their friendship with the people of China and it has visibly endured, he noted.
Panobji, Do you try to remind China how childish the leader of India at that time? He was lost in love of Edwina I guess!
They hv relations with India only for business.. nothing else.
Can”t trust China… its as simple as that! Nehru and the Congress Party made a mistake and continue to makes mistake.
China is an ungrateful country.
That was a historical mistake which our future will repent for.
This ungrateful nation has a very short memory. Their self-interest has blinded them to their friends of yester years. Nehru must be looking down from the sky and regretting why he went out of the way to help ungrateful China. He died an untimely
death because of Sino-Indian war of 1962.

China will help if we do 2 things 1) Handover Dalai Lama and 2) Give Arunachal Pradesh to them.
Very good way to proof how India helped them and still they are against us and trying to usurp our area,
China would follow the same story of “Hindi Chni Bhai Bhai”?

As a common citizen of India, I don”t expect any thing like support of China for NSG or UNSC in near future. We should keep distance from them. We must bite them economically by banning entry of fake Chinese product to India. It would be enough for them to realise who we are. Thanks.
