Pranab Mukherjee seeks Chinese investments, and access to markets
BEIJING: President Pranab Mukjherjee said it is essential to close the information gap between businessmen in India and China in order to enhance cooperation in trade and investments. He invited Chinese businessmen to participate ‘Make in India’, the flagship investment initiative of the Indian government.
At the same time, he sought greater market access for Indian companies in China. He said India “would like to see a greater market for our products in China — particularly in sectors where we have natural complementarities — as in areas of drugs and pharmaceuticals, ITand IT related services and agro products”.
