KOLKATA: Apple has bucked the trend in iPhone sales in India in the January-March quarter, with sales growing by 56% and the company saying it will place more emphasis in the market, the management said during the second quarter conference call with analysts on Wednesday early morning.
The bullish comments about India came when Apple reported its first drop in quarterly revenue growth in 13 years, which fell by 13% due to drop in global iPhone sales.
During the call, Apple CEO Tim Cook said:" If you take a look at India, we grew by 56%, and we're placing increasing emphasis in these (emerging) areas, where it's clear there will be disproportionate growth versus the more developed areas."
So India saved the Apple.
that means so many idiots in India
LOL @Cook saying India is now where China was 10 years ago, say what..
There is shortages of Mangoes in India due to drought affected areas, so the prices of apple will increase in India
I think such a huge growth of the mobile industry in India is an indication of the lop-sided development and that may impact our standard of living in a negative manner.
Just due to brand name people purchasing this costly phone
increased discounts helped them higher growth in sales but the pricing still continues to be higher than what it exists in Singapore, Dubai etc.
yes people are getting more money and buying this expensive mobile.
what goes up comes down ... nothing is permanent ....
apple is been kickes out of the developed world so now begging to get into india
Shift manufacturing of apple products to India
