A video showing a panda mum trying to bathe her young cub has proved that bath time is truly a struggle across all species.
The giant panda mother struggles to get her cub into the waters of a tiny pond in the hilarious footage which has now been shared hundreds of thousands of times online.
The unnamed protagonists of the comical video are a mother panda and her cub in the Chengdu Research base of Giant Panda Breeding, China's foremost facility of all things panda
The video, shot by online channel 'iPanda', shows just how tough it is to give a baby panda a springtime bath.
Despite the mum's efforts to press her cub into the water, the panda struggles and refuses to be bathed.
Giant pandas, known to live up to 20 years in the wild, are often known to 'take showers' on sunny days in order to rid their fur of mud.
They are also known to try and find clean places to rest.
An endangered species, according to the IUCN's (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Red List, giant pandas are thought to number around 2,000 in the wild

That is a muddy baby needing a bath!! One of my sons was a pain in the neck to give a bath. I never thought of grabbing him by the neck with my teeth. So adorable!!
