WASHINGTON: More than 5.5 million people die prematurely each year due to air pollution with over half of those deaths occurring in China and India, two of the world's fastest-growing economies, according to a new research.
According to scientists from the US, Canada, China and India, who presented their findings at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) here, conditions caused by air pollution killed 1.6 million people in China and 1.4 million people in India in 2013.

The government has no other solution than odds/even?
This is due to the increasing in population and destruction in natural resources
Most of diseases in india are due to pollution , we curb the pollution and many diseases will disappear . but government is not taking steps atall , nor the UPA did and now BJP ....they need to take constructive steps to reduce the pollution

But these two countries have about a third of the word's population. The statistics cannot always be analysed in terms of absolute numbers. They have to take reative factors into consideration
Corrupt quit India
We should have more trees, scattered population. Congestion of population at one place and scaricity if trees causes more pollution.
Very notorious reputation.

bcoz west is establishing their manufacturing units in these 2 countries to reduce pollution in their respective countries
Don't worry there are too many of us in both the countries.
