WASHINGTON: A satellite launched into orbit by North Korea on Saturday has now stabilized in its orbit around the earth, a US official and a second source familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.
However the satellite is not believed to be transmitting any data back to earth, the second source said.
The satellite was initially tumbling in orbit, but has now stabilized, making it more successful than a launch in 2012, which failed to achieve a stable orbit, said the first source, a US official who did not want to be identified by name.
It's not transmitting data because it was a Chinese made one given free of cost by the Chinese !!!
good, but at least reached orbit
Don't underestimate China's capabilities. Last time we did that in '62, we got our noses punched in.
The bad quality chinese fakes that we find in India are not pushed in by chinese, but actually smuggled in by fellow Indians who are well aware that we Indians love cheap stuff.

Chinese made products for others may be below standard but not for themselves or US.
China supplies all stuff all over the world. but the products quality they export to West is far superior than any thing we get in India (even made in India).
Poor Uncle Sam!
i hope the rogue nation pakistan does not get the satellite launch technology from north korea, like they got their missiles. All mnediated by the chinese.
Why this hue and cry?
All have equal right to develop if the system is not used for wrong purposes
No data coming down, so US had to tell North Korea where the satellite is.
Chinese are good at copying western technology and transferring same to North Korea and Pakistan.
they r doing well
