In India, 80% of women don’t have bank accounts: UNDP report
NEW DELHI: As per the report released by the UNDP on Monday, the Human Development Index (HDI) rank of Bangladesh and Pakistan was 142 and 147, respectively.
India has made improvements in life expectancy at birth which has increased to 68 years in 2014 from 67.6 in the previous year and 53.9 years in 1980. Gross National Income (GNI) per capita was $5,497 in 2014, up from $5,180 in 2013 and $1,255 in 1980. India’s GNI per capita increased by about 338% between 1980 and 2014.
This is the result of garbhi Hatao party of Congress contribution during their six decades of rule.
most of them have joint accounts with husband as most of them are housewife and dont have regular source of income
This revelation together with the fact that 600 million Indians have no where to s–t places India as a third world country which is envied or emulated by none.

Instead of the bank accounts, they should have checked how many grams of gold each woman has…May be India ranks ahead
Not every person and women need an account make a living. In india master of the family takes care of everyone including children… what’s wrong in this…. ?
This is not the good news…………………that In India-80-of-women dont have bank-accounts…………………………what is this……….
Lets look at it only as a status update and not a final report. With a population like ours, it would taken even more years.
What is there?!! Let CONgress or BJP open accounts for all women.
Indians women specially rural women depends on their husband , they trust their husband so keep money in husbands’ account or in home. This tradition and I think not bad

It is sad but true that large number of women have no bank accounts nor money.The poverty ridden country with penury is forcing thousands committing suicide,the bank accounts is a mirage.First the India shiuldtackle poverty and then talk of bathroom and bank account.God bless Bharat.
Indians must eat Mutton, Chicken, Pork & Beef frequently to increase their life expectancy.
