孟买强奸案比去年增加49%
MUMBAI: Crimes against women are on a scary spiral in the city. Rape cases surged 49% in 2014-15 as against the previous year, and instances of molestation were up 39%, shows a white paper released by NGO Praja on Tuesday. In four years since 2010-11, the city has seen reported rape cases jump 290% and molestation cases rise 247%.
NGO组织Praja于周二发布的一份白皮书显示，孟买发生的针对女性的暴力在可怕的螺旋上升，2014-15年度比前一年发生的强奸案增加了49%，而骚扰案增加了39%。

I Fully agree with you.The cops are busy monitoring cows. They have no time to stop lesser crimes like rape. The jail sentence for cow slaughter is higher than the rape. Naturally cops are spending time where govt's focus is.

It is a shame on us to publish this as if it is an achievement. What is the government is doing? Government is silent on this and all the rape criminals are not punished. It is an atrocity and law has to be changed to give deterrent punishment to the criminals. This has to be stopped at any cost. Government must study this and take steps to stop this crime

Sadly, Mumbai is becoming Rape City. Worst part is more & more cases of juvenile involved in rape is increasing I believe that is mainly due to improper punishment in case of Nirbhay rape case. If all accused have being given capital punishment it would have given strong warning to all such sick minded people. Also, age limit should be changed to 13-14 in case of such cases from 18.
