Indian ace shuttler Saina Nehwal's dream of defending her women's singles title came crashing as she suffered a straight-game defeat to Olympic champion Li Xuerui in the final of the USD 700,000 China Open Super Series Premier on Sunday.
The Olympic bronze medallist Saina, committed a litany of unforced errors to go down 12-21 15-21 against World No. 7 Li in the women's singles summit clash which lasted for 39 minutes at the Haixia Olympic Sports Center here.
Saina has a disappointing record against LXR. She is winning against all other top rivals with regular frequency - but losing regularly to one is not good for coming Olympics.
better luck next time
Injury again? What excuse is Saina going to give now?

Well played not to think about Results.
not bad luck.she simply give up especially in the first set and lot of unforced errors in both sets.but not bad performance despite some injury scare.hope to do better in future
Thank God otherwise she would have demanded Bharat Ratna
Bad day for Saina! She had tried her best to reach in the final. She can have sigh of heave as she had taken her best to reach till the final. All the best and keep it up. Congratulation for your efforts

Commendable job. Loss and win are part and parcel of the game. Better luck next time. You had made us proud by reaching the finals
