GUWAHATI: Holding Prime Minister Narendra Modi responsible for BJP's debacle in Bihar assembly polls, Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi on Monday said the outcome was a rejection of Modi's "pro-rich policies" by the people.
"I am one of the happiest men after yesterday's Bihar results. People have voted against communal and divisive politics of the BJP," Gogoi told reporters here.
"Narendra Modi had fought the election as if it was a referendum on his policies and people have rejected his pro-rich policies," he said.
阿萨姆邦首席部长Tarun Gogoi 说，莫迪总理要为人民党输掉比哈尔邦大选负责，他说选举结果是人们对莫迪亲富人政策的拒绝。
“昨天比哈尔选举结果出来后，我最高兴不过了。人们投票反对人民党造成分歧的政治。”Gogoi对记者说。
莫迪把这次大选当做人们对其政策的一次公投，而人们拒绝了他的亲富人政策。
