WASHINGTON: China is a growing military power but countries like India and Japan are also following through in the region by increasing their defence rollout, the US has said as it voiced concern over Beijing's activities in the disputed South China Sea.
"China is a growing military power in this region. That's natural. It's a big country. It's a country that's trying to develop itself economically," US Defence Secretary Ashton Carter said in response to a question from an American soldier in Hawaii on his way back from his Asia trip.
"It's not the only one. Japan is increasing its defence rollout here, so is India. Many, many countries are asking us to work with them, because they want to be part of this regional architecture that keeps the peace, and we welcome all of them to include China," Carter said.
China would do well to behave responsibly and listen to the complaints of all of its neighbours who are upset with its rapacious behaviour and bullying ways. Time to shake up else China would find itself without a friend in Asia barring of course its eternal choir boys, Pakistan and North Kore
Its very unlikely that China and US will engage themselves in a war because they are the biggest trade partners in the world with trade volume of $500bn a year. So, both are dependent on each other. Only China can meet the demand in US as of now. So, both the countries are well aware of the risk of getting into any military conflict specially on silly excuses.
the best thing NM has done is selection of meticulous young ministers, who are smart, non-corrupt and want to work for the country. Result will be seen. Its justmatter of time. So much so that even India has now understand the huge challenge from China and not from Pakistan..........
China is mirror for US and role model for India. No country can become super power only on imported hardware.
China will chew up India and spit it out.
India is history. Will be broken up in pieces soon

Sorry holy cow....... dreams of breaking India by some clever nation may not work out. It may emerge as the second EU type AU also. Bad news anyway for a particular clever nation.
