NEW DELHI: In a clear message to China to desist from using strong-arm tactics to unilaterally change the status-quo in South China Sea (SCS), India on Wednesday said nations in the region must strive to resolve territorial disputes in a peaceful manner in accordance with international laws.
"India hopes all parties to the disputes in SCS will abide by the 2002 Declaration of the Conduct of Parties in SCS," said defence minister Manohar Parrikar, speaking at the Southeast Asian defence ministers' meet in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

Dont imagine it is a powerful message like a day dreamer. It sounds like Manmohan statement!!! Some time it is better to keep quiet and not to open the mouth like a old british mother in law
What about peacefull resolution of Kashmir according to united nation resolutions.
China will lose its belligerent attitude if all ASEAN countries stand united against China. India too has rightly taken a firm stand on the issue of freedom of navigation Pressure from all quarters will make China see sense. Glad to hear US is moving its aircraft carrier in the South China Seas.
