China plays down Indian border stand-off video
BEIJING: China on Monday said ties with India and between the armies have improved as a result of bilateral mechanisms put in place by both sides to bring down tensions over the disputed border after a video emerged showing Indian and Chinese soldiers involved in a stand-off in 2013.
“I have seen the report. The video showed something that happened several years ago. We released information and clarified our position at that time,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying told a media briefing.
He was replying to question about a video shown by an Indian television channel in which soldiers from both sides animatedly argued that the particular area in Ladakh region where they stood belong to their respective countries.
The video was shown by China’s Phoenix television creating a buzz on Chinese social media.
Complete Non-sense and Sugar Coated talk. If China is serious in improving it’s relationship with India, then why it is supplying Nuclear Material to Pak, Building Infrastructure in POK, Encircling India for Strategic Purpose, not favoring UNSC seat for India and many more. Apart from doing sugar coated talk, has China done anything Concrete to satisfy India ?
India and China are mature countries and maturity reflects in their behavior. It is not like Pakistan which starts unprovoked firing on Indian side with the result India has to retaliate from time to time.

ONLY USA WILL BENEFIT FROM A WAR BETWEEN CHINA AND INDIA. BOTH NEED TO GET THIS RIGHT
Why has this come up after two years? Why is it being reported now?
What else China can do?
The video was released by NDTV to vitiate the atmosphere between China and India. Why bring this kind of video in limelight when there is relative peace in Indo-china border?
Better not to create problems with China. That would saved our face. We are no match for them.
The Indian oficer was speaking English and using a Chinese soldier as a translator. What a shame. With China as a potential adversary, why don’t we have a strong Chinese language carde of officers and other ranks on the from lines? If a confrontation occurs the adversary will plainly read all our comms, while we will be “blind”. Compliments to the Officer for not giving in to the Chinese bullying.
