Soaked Dad Protecting His Schoolboy From Rain Shows What Parenting Is
12 days ago by Dovas
This heartwarming photo of a dad soaking in the rain so that his son could stay dry went viral after it was anonymously uploaded on Imgur. The little boy seems almost oblivious to his father’s discomfort, though it’s clear that dad’s shirt has been soaked through completely.
This dad is doing much more than keeping his son dry – he’s teaching him to put someone else’s well-being ahead of his own.

Or he can justpick up his son, the boy can hold the umbrella and both of them would be dry. 12

Holding a 45+ lbssquirmy child is not as easy as you think it is. The father could need his armsfor something, and they could be walking for a very long period of time. Intheory, your idea is good but in reality it isn't practical. 5

I think the pointin this photo is what parents do for theris kids, not if what they were doingwas clever. BTW, the photo doesn-t tell me if the father was injuried on therigh arm, or if they were 2 or 50 minutes away from their destination. Justlike (or don't) the picture, but don't try to see further ahead without moreinformation. 1

Have you trieddoing that and walk for more than 15 mins? Not to mention that if it's windy, like it is where I live, the kid would fly away with the umbrella.

Yes, you, AdamMiller, can definitely pick up that 50+ kid, all the gears and hisown bag, and walk 15 mins. Unfortunately, a lot of people are not as strong asyou are.
