For US, India sole option for UNSC seat: Pakistani daily
ISLAMABAD: India is the only option from Asia, especially in the eyes of the US, for permanent membership at the UN Security Council “no matter how unfortunate this is for Pakistan”, a Pakistani daily said on Friday.
Describing the US and India as the new dynamic duo, an editorial in the Nation said they are “a terrifying combination”.
The US has reaffirmed its support to India for a permanent seat on the UN Security Council (UNSC). Even though both countries have disagreed over the UN Security Council reforms, the US has made it clear that it is committed to India’s inclusion as a permanent member of the Security Council.
Nehruji turned down UNSC seat in favor of China. Now the seat will come without veto powers. Blunder by a person driven by failed ideology.
nehru is a shame on indian history…..officially he is a hero.
there should be a nationwide survey on nehru to be hero or shame.
Nehrus blunders are far too many to list. It explains the sad state of affairs in the country even after six decades of independence. India’s pride and self respect were completely destroyed by nehrus whims.
Nehru and Gandhi lead India in misery just to achieve personal good image!!
To my fellow Indians, I have this to ask: How will your miserable lives change if India gets the seat????
If there is no importance of this seat then why is Pakistan freaking out about India getting it? If you don’t understand global politics anf its implication for a nation, then why make a fool of yourself by trying to act smart?
You pakis seem a lot worried. Rightly so.
Nehru proved to be the pain of Indian history
India should focus to make it strong, financially , militarily, technically . People will come to request you to join the UN. make your self strong. Dont BEG?????
We have faith in our PM and sure he will achieve this goal very soon.
Anything good for India is good for the World and unfortunately Pakistan is lonely in thinking opposite.
