NEW DELHI: Indian IT companies are among the 10 worst paymasters in the world, says a survey -- a mid-level IT manager draws an average salary of $41,213 while his Swiss counterpart gets over four times more.
According to recruitment platform MyHiringClub.com's Worldwide IT Salary 2015 survey, India was ranked 7th on the list of lowest paymasters for information technology (IT) managers, down by one position from last year's.
While Indian IT managers drew an average salary of $41,213, Bulgaria topped the list with a meagre $25,680, followed by Vietnam and Thailand averaging at $30,938 and $34,423, respectively.
The list includes Indonesia at the fourth spot with average wages of $34,780, followed by the Philippines ($37,534), India ($41,213), China ($42,689), Czech Republic ($43,219), and Argentina ($51,380).

Indian IT salaries are relatively low because the quality of Indian IT workers is pathetic. Most workers in the Indian IT industry are glorified peons .
The only skills they possess are : Google , copy and paste .
They are experts in this . Based on these meager skills and their degrees from dubious engineering colleges , most of them are actually grossly overpaid.
Is that the reason why major giants like Microsoft, Google etc are headed by Indians??? Get life Richie... Cost of living in India is less compared to many cities across the globe that is the reason why we get low pays compared to other. Get the facts first before throwing your mouth. If you want deeper knowledge dig into market and do some financial course to earn some knowledge.
Hello Rich, Do you think all the American are Scientist!!!????... The CEO of Google is now Indian, and also for Microsoft. In Apple every third person is an Indian. If it is copy paste as u say, then y the American founders bloody give the reins of their company to Indians. Any comments moron....
you are a pig.. for sure.. Indian people are hard working and that is why India has such an economy. Unlike Pakistan which sucked American b*lls and now is up for su**ing the Chinese ones.. but it keeps forgetting, who*** have an expiry date.

There are many others factors that contribute the salary drawn...
- Abundance of required skill
- Cost of living
- Difference in expertise and many more....
IT skills in Swiss or others may be considered as niche but in India its common
India is most poor and backward country due to education system based on foreign language
That's just plain ignorance. We are good at what we do. That's is why we are still here. If all we did was copy paste then the Indian IT industry would not have grown this big.
When compared with the world, it looks bad, but they are well paid as per Indian standards
