Ladakh face off continues as PLA men fail to turn up for flag meeting called to defuse tension
NEW DELHI/BEIJING: Tension continues to simmer at the high-altitude Burtse region of eastern Ladakh, where a military stand-off had erupted on Friday evening after Indian troops demolished a watchtower-like structure built by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) there.
Sources say the local PLA commanders had not yet come for the flag meeting called by their Indian counterparts to defuse the situation, even though troops from either side have withdrawn a little from their forward positions at the incident site located at 17,000-feet altitude in the Depsang plains.
“We are awaiting the PLA response on the timing of the flag meeting, which will be held soon either at the new border personnel meeting (BPM) point at Daulat Beg Oldi or the traditional BPM point at Chushul,” said an official.
But China, in a foreign ministry briefing in Beijing on Monday, maintained there was no ongoing standoff along the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh, and asked the Indian government to clarify the situation to maintain “peace and tranquillity” in the area.
Don’t let the Chinese fukas bully us.

Pakistan and now chaina, first rangers and now PL A, every sensible person knows the result.
Indian government should come out of Coward stance and be able to talk with stern words/actions. China is most cunning country on the globe and Indian leadership is equally efficient to cheat its people.
china will keep trying to expand its territory
No new structures should come up in the disputed areas.Eye ball contact also should not be a source of worry.Let India get along wit its development and not be obsessed with trivialities.
hope peace restores soon
This tension is going to be there for some time because of China’s attitude… Indian side should not bulge
Please be prepared. China, Russia and Pakistan are bandying together – history is coming a full circle.
No matter how brave the soldiers are they are no good without a good leader and great citizens who love them. India has has both.
Take a stand, look the enemy in the eye, develop your economy, get the latest weapons and stand behind your soldiers. That is a sign of a promising nation
A couple of years ago China did the same thing when Indians put up some video cameras to keep an eye on the Chinese. Chinese broke the construction and took away the cameras, which they returned later. Those were the days of the no good coward MMSingh. Now under Mr. Modi (man with a back bone) table have turned and Indian soldiers have higher morale because of the leader Mr. Modi and the people of india standing behind them. Remember it is the will to fight that is more important.
