MADURAI: At least 35 passengers were injured when three coaches of No 16859 Chennai - Mangalore Express train derailed near Puvanur station, a few kilometres from Vriddhachalam, in Tamil Nadu in the early hours of Friday.
The accident happened around 2 am.
Railway officials and fire and rescue services personnel rushed to the spot and rescue operations were carried out. The injured were admitted to Government Hospital at Vriddhachalam.

Rail safety is still a major concern .. so many accidents .., what is govt. planning to make things better. Existing safety has to be taken seriously before high speed trains can be launched

Continuously the train accidents are happening and Mr. Prabu is saying that they are improving the railway service
