A Cabinet report on China's drug situation released Wednesday underscores the threat posed by the region incorporating parts of Laos, Myanmar and Thailand, despite efforts at cross-border cooperation.
It said that 90% of the 9.3 tons of heroin and 11.4 tons of methamphetamine seized in 2014 came from the area that borders China's southern province of Yunnan.

and the drugs were grown and produced by their all weather porki friends.
India and China have too much of the world's populations. Why not allow drug addicts to register, be supplied cheap drugs and conk off quickly ? May sound like a cruel solution but in practice crime rates would come down ( as price of drugs will be low ), and the drug trade will be cut-off at it's knees as it's inordinate profits will be gone. Yes, politicians and cops will lose substantial amounts of their protection money but all others will benefit, in the long run both countries also.

No, I'm serious; if Govt. can allow you to smoke yourself to death, drink yourself to death why not drug yourself to death also ?
Peacemaker (New Delhi) replies to annumallya
In the process, generating a little revenue also! Radical, but not unthinkable!
