By Sunday evening, Modi had 46,000 followers within six days of joining the Chinese social media, which is a rare feat by a foreign leader. Chinese media including the State-run English newspapers, China Daily and Global Times, have welcomed Modi's move while publishing reports about Modi's popularity on the web platform in China.
The reports indicate the government's approval of Modi's endeavour to communicate with ordinary Chinese people. India-China relations have mostly been driven by government relations and media reports, and there has been little direct communication between the people of the two countries. This is the first time that an Indian leader is directly talking to Chinese people.
"Modi has been welcomed by Chinese Net users with his first post," the Global Times, one of the organs of the Communist Party of China, said in a report headlined, 'Modi debuts on Weibo ahead of state visit to China'.

Collecting followers and blowing his own trumpet is his job. Appreciate it.
Classic Fake Faku! It's a BJP Online PR team that add Fake fan following just to show Big Number. As seen in Feku Twitter account, in a very Suspicious manner, 280,000 new people started to follow Modi in a SINGLE DAY. Such tactics are good enough for 'Bhakt-BRIGADE' Only.

Modi's comments on Twitter are always very mundane and faded. I find absolutely nothing that is inspirational, or thought provoking....why do people follow this low IQ man?
Dude Cigar (Bangalore) replies to Chennaiwala
First thing .. nobody is asking you to follow. Secondly people with low IQ try to measure others IQ, so get yours checked first. If you cannot follow or understand politics please occupy a seat and read comics.

did anybody from govt asked you to follow him.... its ur choice
I am sure most of them would be from the blind fans brigade!
