外文标题：Russia displays military might in WWII ‘Victory Day’ parade; Indian, Chinese troops take part
MOSCOW: Russia on Saturday staged a grand military parade here to commemorate the 70th anniversary of its victory over Nazi Germany in the presence of several world leaders, including President Pranab Mukherjee, even as western powers boycotted the event due to a stand-off over Ukraine.
Nearly 10,000 soldiers, including an Indian Army contingent and China's People's Liberation Army (PLA), took part in the parade at the iconic Red Square here which lasted for over 90 minutes.
Russian President Vladimir Putin witnessed the parade along with President Mukherjee, Chinese President Xi Jinping and UN secretary general Ben Ki-moon.
Western powers like the US, Russia's World War-II allies Britain and France have boycotted the event over Kremlin's "meddling" in Ukraine.
The parade on Red Square showcased cutting edge weapons such as the next-generation Armata T-14 tank and advanced military aircraft.

Russia is celebrating 70th anniversary of victory 2nd World War over Nazi Army of Hitler,Germany. This is a great matter of Honour of India, Russia invited India to participate in this celebrations. Our president Pranab Mukherjee and our Army contingent took part in this celebration. How shameful to western nations ( NATO )who have broken Russia, are trying to weak It. Russia has paid a heavy cost to win Second World War in which about two crore people died in war to save democracy

Russia lost more than one million men, that would be 10 Lakh
To save world from US, India and russia need to be close friends
Russia is India's old friend. They helped us in the 1971 war by countering US ships in Bay of Bengal. Nightmare for US after seeing Russian might. But all we want is peace forever.
Russia is a failings state,It can't complete with the west and now China.this show was just to falsely show that Russia is in control and can manage on its own.

As an American citizen I have always found it somewhat disturbing as to how little, if any, credit is given to the USSR for their central role in the defeat of Nazi Germany. It is interesting to note that the soldiers of the USSR were fighting and dying in large numbers long before the allied invasion of occupied France on D-Day, which occurred in June of 1944. The Soviet Union was invaded by Germany in June of 1941. They were ruthlessly pounded by the German Wehrmacht for years before the USA got involved in the war in any meaningful way. The British also were being harshly attacked by German V-2 rockets. I feel that these two nations, especially the USSR, deserve much more credit than is generally acknowledged by the American side. The Soviet Union is thought to have lost some 20 million people in the war, including soldiers and civilians. Russia stands tall and proud today, once again, with good relations with major nations like China and India. One hopes and prays that we never experience WWIII, as this would lead to the end-time for all of us. Thank-you.
