Prime Minister Narendra Modi has joined Chinese social media platform Weibo. Weibo is often referred to as Twitter of China.
Announcing the news of his joining Weibo on Twitter, PM Modi said, "Hello China! Looking forward to interacting with Chinese friends through Weibo."
PM Modi has joined Chinese social media platform just weeks before his scheduled visit to the country. Hectic preparations are underway on both sides to make PM's visit a success. Huang Xilian, deputy director general of Asian affairs, recently said that a number of agreements are expected to be signed during the trip.

Modi loves chatting and surely u will find him in cuban chat media as well ! he loves to talk and in this medium u dont see ur listener sleeping and so feel u r being heard ! LOL
Being prime minister of great country like India he needs to behave in more mature way. Agreed communication is important but for him we need him to speak on important issues like black money, inflation, job creation and how he is going to prevent farmer suicides etc. 90 % of his tweets give us update on his daily activities like attending functions, or wishing birthdays, photos with people who are coming to meet him and now he is on Weibo! How does it help our country? Just enough of talking and interacting on social media he need to deliver promises made during elections or else BJP will perish
