外文标题：India wants China to open its market to Indian companies
BEIJING: Amid concerns over the widening trade deficit, India on Sunday hoped that China will open up its market to Indian companies and promised to make it easier for Chinese companies to do business in India.
"A critical change in nature of our bilateral ties over the last few decades has been its growing economic dimension. China is today our largest partner in trade in goods. The two economies are moving to invest each other," external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj said.
“过去几十年里，日益增长的经济维度成为了我们双边关系性质的决定性改变。中国今天是我们商品贸易的最大伙伴。两个经济体正相互投资。”印度外长 Sushma Swaraj说道。
"Serious discussions on enhancing connectivity have been initiated. On that foundation, we are now seeking to take our economic cooperation to a qualitatively new level," she said addressing the the second India-China Media Forum.
Swaraj said the "Closer Development Partnership" agreed upon during President Xi Jinping's visit to India in September last year symbolizes the resolve to enhance economic ties.

What if China asks for reciprocal- India should open the market for all Chinese good- Its Goodbye Indian manufacturing. Remember China is a communist country. They gave no defined labour costs, no costing in fact. They can go as low as they need to to eliminate competition. Beware

The fact that China knowingly keeping an imbalance in its favour in the bilateral trade with India for every year, since the trade between the two countries started, and the margin is on the increase year after year is a clear indication of two things, 1: China thinks that Indian politicians are bunch of idiots, they will settle for any kind of deal, all that China has to do is to fool them by saying ' yes we will do ' but in reality China do not have to balance the bilateral trade figures. 2: Indian leaders former PM, MMS and now Modi seems to be shy to ask China to cut down the imbalance, with firm voice, and threaten China if they don't do that India will stop bilateral trade with China altogether. Chinese must be laughing behind , every time India ' beg ' them to do so, its look pathetic on India's part, the way a bilateral trade is carried out with China ! Jai Hind !

Apart from services currently, India really does not have high value manufactured goods to offer China. Are we going to export hi tech software type services only to China? A sort of brain drain like the way we do with the West? We cannot depend on goodwill alone to increase exports to China or anywhere else. We really need to carry out marketing & feasibility studies on a larger scale so that we can determine what we can export now or what we need to make so that foreign countries will wish to buy more of our products.
