外文标题：India-China border: Now, faster green nod for roads, infrastructure
NEW DELHI: A government panel on Wednesday cleared as many as 53 projects, including power, railways, roads and irrigation canals, while the environment ministry decided to ensure faster green clearance for border roads and infrastructure projects for ITBP- a paramilitary force which is deployed along the India-China border.
The ministry, in fact, put ITBP projects at par with border roads projects of the defence ministry (mainly Army) for faster green clearance. It had last year granted the defence ministry a general approval for all road projects within 100 km of India-China border.
The decision to give faster clearance to border projects of ITBP comes in the backdrop of massive Chinese projects coming up across the border.
That is good.
Congress alwys kept the China Border issue under tha carpet and never thought to develop the border area specially when China investing billions of dollars to build new infrastructure near Indo Border... This is a really Good move and will deliver two things... A message to China that we aren't scared of you and development of remote indian areas.

The previous governments slept over china border projects for decades. Good that the government has realised the importance of good infrastructure along china border. Timely completion will now be the key.
India prepares to fight China in the northeast. Pakistan in the West and Sri Lankan Buddhist nationalists in the south. What a harmonious neighborhood.

Defending is not fighting. Also the projects cleared near the borders are usefull both for civilian and military purpose. So its not preparing to fight but to deter.
Good luck. Develop some tourist centres also people love to see the border of the county.
