外文标题：China launches satellite using 200th Long March carrier rocket
BEIJING: China's aging 'Long March' carrier rockets today touched the 200th landmark after its upgraded version successfully put a multi-purpose satellite into an orbit, setting a better safety record than Russia and the US.
The 200th launch of a Long March rocket occurred today when China successfully put the CBERS-4 satellite using a Long March-4B rocket.
CBERS-4 is jointly developed by China and Brazil. It is the fifth satellite of the Chinese-Brazilian Earth Resource Satellite ( CBERS) programme which began in 1988.

Since these are very costly it is better to make it multi-purpose.

india to catch them up fast....

Good for them, But the article states that they have a better safety record - that the wrong way to look at it. Russia and US pioneered the technology that , the theory ,and built the whole tech around it. if it was nt for the transfrer of tech to the soviet union china would be still lacking in all technology and may have ahad many failures.. its good to compare apples to apples and not oranges.
Good, Need to learn from China
China now sends more satellites to the space than any other countries every years. Next year, China will start to use giant Long March 5 rockets that can shoot satellites of 14 tons to GTO orbits, The gap between China and India will become even bigger. India got independence in 1947. China ended long time wars in 1949.

India will test its GSLV this year and next year onwards India will launch satellites of 4 tons. Thanks for telling us the gap between India and china. It inspires us to put in more hard work. We will make sure we narrow the gap and then we will pull ahead.
