外文标题：No one-night stands, supernatural stories on TV, movies, say Chinese censors
BEIJING: China's media censors have ruled against depicting stories with scenes of one-night stands and extramarital affairs in movies and television shows. The censors have cracked down on the showing of porn in all forms, and have also targeted the showing of stories based on supernatural cases.
The new order is expected to be a major blow because a large number of Chinese movies and TV programs, even those with historical themes, are laced with these kinds of tales.
Issuing a new circular, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT) has said that programs showing extramarital affairs, polyamorous relationship, one-night stands, sexual abuse, or containing pornographic content should be cut or deleted.
Quoting from the order, entertainment news website ent.qq.com said the censors have also prohibited video streaming websites from showing movies and programs with such content, which will force them to pull out a large number of scheduled showing.

Driven by greed the media barons go to extremes to do whatever sells. This gives opportunity to governments to resort to censorship ! The media is solely responsible for this since they do not respect the norms of society.

A great visionary action by Chinese authorities worthy of emulation by all countries who at present have loose standards. As one step forward, the evil has to be finished off at source by eliminating the people who produce such content.
