India, China ink deal for transfer of chowmein technology
Stories in Mocktale are works of fiction intended to bring a smile to your face. They bear no connection to events and characters in real life.
In a landmark deal between visiting Chinese president Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Beijing has agreed to a transfer of technology to India which will allow New Delhi to indigenously produce authentic chowmein in the country, provided it carries the warning label: Does not cause sexual assault. (In 2012 a khap panchayat in Haryana had blamed the consumption of chowmein for the growing incidents of rapes.)
Earlier in the day, Modi welcomed the Chinese leader by saying, 'Mastah, teach me kung fu.' When Xi promised to do so, Modi responded with, 'Feng shui very much.' Xi also presented Modi with a Beijing Human T-Shirt, which the PM promised to wear with his matching RSS shorts when he visits China.
Sources said the Chinese president was later heard asking why PM Modi was interested in learning kung fu and self-defence from him when he already had a defence minister called Arun Jet Lee.
The welcome was followed by a noodle ceremony for the Chinese president, similar to the tea ceremony that took place in Japan. When Modi apologized for the absence of chop sticks, Xi graciously responded in Hindi with 'Mujhay koi fork nahi padta'. Experts say the hint was, if you can tweet in Japanese, I can speak in Hindi.
Later, the two leaders addressed a special joint press conference, details of which are only available with Mocktale.
When reporters asked Modi to comment on the chowmein deal, he said, "I don't like Chinese food." When he was asked to comment on the border skirmishes with China, he said, "I don't like Chinese feud either."
