外文标题：Chinese woman lives normal life without crucial part of brain
NEW DELHI: In an amazing discovery, Chinese doctors have reported that a 24-year-old woman has lived a largely normal life without the cerebellum, a part of the brain responsible for movement of limbs and talking. Her only complaints were an unsteady gait and slightly slurred way of talking.
In a report published in the scientific journal Brain, Feng Yu and his colleagues at a military hospital in Shangdong province, China, say that the woman is married and has a daughter. She has felt slightly dizzy when walking right from childhood and her speech is slightly slurred. Otherwise she leads a normal life.
She came to the hospital complaining of nausea and vomiting for a month. CT and MRI scans revealed that there was no cerebellum. Here the cerebellum should have been there was just a hole filled with the whitish cerebro-spinal fluid that bathes the whole brain. The lack of any remnants showed that the woman had never developed a cerebellum, a condition described as cerebellar agenesis.

Amazing/ There is lot to be learned about evolution of brain and its function.
What is so strange about it? Our sardars live only with half the brain.

Nature has built-in substitutes or mechanisms for many conditions when some part or organ is less developed or is missing, this is a mysterious matter but some times it comes into the category of , "believe it or not"....

Reflects on our poor knowledge of our body mechanism.
