孟买终于开通了地铁,印官员:进入世界级通勤时代

MUMBAI: Mumbai’s first Metro service will open for commuters at 1pm on Sunday, but a controversy over the tariff may keep chief minister Prithivraj Chavan away from the inaugural ceremony. The CM has threatened to skip the function if the RInfra-promoted Mumbai Metro One Private Ltd (MMOPL) ignores the government-suggested fare structure.

None of the representatives of the state government or Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA)-which has 26% stake in the project-were present when RInfra announced the date to roll out the Metro service.

Abhay Kumar Mishra, chief executive officer of Reliance Metro, said, “We are going to start the service at 1pm on Sunday. We have also decided to fix the promotional fare of Rs 10 for the first 30 days for a single one-way trip between any station.”

Lalit Jalan, CEO, RInfra said, “We have introduced promotional fare in Delhi, too. But it does not mean that the regular fare structure will come into effect automatically after 30 days. We will take a call on this at an appropriate time.”

The promotional fare is less than the average fare proposed by the state government. The bone of contention between the state government and the MMOPL is the final fare structure. MMOPL has cited the Metro Act, which gives power to the Metro Rail Authority to fix the initial fare. MMOPL has fixed a slab Rs 10, 20, 30 and 40, depending on the distance, but the state government is insisting on a minimum and maximum fare between Rs 9 and Rs 13.

This is India’s first metro railway project implemented on a public-private partnership model by a consortium headed by RInfra since 2007, at a total cost of around Rs 4,300 crore.

Accordingly, from Sunday the 11.4km long Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar east-west corridor with 12 elevated stations en route will become operational, proving to be a boon for Mumbaikars, especially with monsoon around the corner.

I think, Rs 10 and Rs. 40 are very reasonable fares! Come on, its metro and if the fates are dirt cheap as per the expectations of MMRDA then it will a hell of a nightmare to catch a metro, even worse than it is in the locals at peak hours! There should be some premium for such premium services.

  4. 呵呵,祝贺印度斯坦进入宇宙级通勤时代……11.4公里,虽比俺家乡的地铁短了那么一点(注),但毕竟是地铁,再短也是欢乐啊…… 注:俺南京郊区即南京乡下的……地铁从市区到俺们乡下约60公里……建好也就建好了,似乎大家对此麻木不仁……

  5. 原来孟买连地铁都没啊,这下又拉开与上海的距离了啊 话说地铁票确实不能太便宜,参考帝都那公共交通费与地铁拥挤度~ 广州也是亚运会还玩免费,结果也被打脸

    • 北京的拥挤度那是全国人民造成的。。。我住胡同。。。现在全租给外地人了(不含任何地域歧视)。。。这里的旅游区到处是垃圾和狗屎。。。北海公园的南门是正门,正对中南海。。。门外却没有公厕。。。所以。。。你懂的。。。要俺说啥好嗫。。。

  9. 地铁顾名思义应该是位于地下才对,这在地面上应该叫轨道交通吧。看起来这样的建设又便宜又好看,真正战时那置民众生命于何地?建议还是别省那么点钱,有点宽裕的话—-是不是印度的钱袋空空如也呢~

    • 地铁、轻轨的区别不是根据地上地下,也不是车重,而是根据车型区分的,A型或者B型车是地铁,而C型车是轻轨,所以阿三的这个确实是地铁,但可能考虑地下与地面建设的造价问题,好像大部分都是露天的。

    • 地铁挖隧道施工难度高,黑乎乎的不见阳光,轨道不好养护,户外的确坐着看风景也不错。不过这十几公里眨眼就到站了吧。

  10. 坐着地上铁看看孟买的棕榈树,还蛮惬意的。能看到海边就更完美了。其实地上铁更便宜,就是挤占环线的空间,至于说防空,地下铁也防不住,现在穿地蛋都那么牛逼,什么防空都防不住

  13. 就中国人来说,这个价格不贵,单站10卢布仅仅差不多1块5左右,我觉得信实公司开出的价格还是合理的。当然印度人来说,这个价格也许就是一个“高价”。虽然说是公私合作,但不知道印度政府在里面扮演的是什么角色,如果仅仅只是提供政策配合的便利之类的,不提供相应补助或进行合理的会计、物价审核就空口要求低票价,那么就只是为了笼络平民所作的秀而已。

  14. 不能外挂/不卖挂票的地铁不是好地铁。。。。。不能外挂的地铁还能叫地铁吗。。。。不能外挂的地铁就是咪咪眼眼中国佬造的垃圾货,我们坚决抵制。。。抵制中国佬制造的地铁,让中国佬饿死。。。。。

  15. 中国地铁运营貌似除上海以外都是亏损的,不知印度将如何解决这个问题。部长不出席通车典礼容易,政府不补贴恐怕不行。基础设施建设拼的是国力啊!
