外文标题：Don't tell us how to run Hong Kong: China to US
BEIJING: China on Wednesday asked the US to stop issuing orders regarding political reforms in Hong Kong asserting that Washington has no right to interfere in its internal affairs.
Reacting to US Assistant Secretary Of State for East Asia and Pacific Affairs Daniel Russel's remarks about Hong Kong's political reform and universal suffrage in the chief executive election, Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said, "Political system development is Hong Kong's own affair and China's internal affair. Others have no right to interfere in it".
The Chinese government firmly opposes any foreign interference in Hong Kong's political reform or other affairs, Hua told a media briefing.
China regained sovereignty over Hong Kong in 1997 after 99 years of British rule.
Universal suffrage in the chief executive election is regarded as an important development in the region's political system.
In December, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government launched a five-month public consultation on methods for the election of Hong Kong's next chief executive through universal suffrage in 2017 and for forming the legislative council in 2016.

Though, I am not in support of China (I don't like China, being a hard-core Indian), yet, agree with it on this issue.

Agree with you. These whites think that they own the world and other countries should do what they want. I am happy that China has started retaliating and soon other Asian countries will also do the same!
Only China out of all countries have the spine to say or do such things keeping US hegemony and perpetuating of their views and culture on rest of the world in the name of freedom at check...well done...

.. oh but they will .. and the chinkies will obey... all US needs to do is close its markets to chinese goods for a day and their economy will collapse... so yes.. US, which has a big presence in the chinese neighborhood will dictate to china not just about hong kong but also how to conduct itself ... and china may make a lot of noise but will follow..!!

According to the US Census Bureau on Foreign Trade, US imports from China accounted for $440 Billion USD, significant certainly but such an amount would not cause an overnight collapse of the Chinese economy, it may do so over the course of a few months but that's assuming the USA is willing to commit economic suicide in doing such a thing.
China should advice the US on how to do business, not spend recklessly and allow the people of America more economic freedoms now enjoyed by the Chinese

Haha.. Shows how ignorant you are!! Economic freedom enjoyed by Chinese is an oxymoron.. As far as doing business, half of chinese economy is because of US companies having plants in China!!! Go and read some real information

When one does not know how to proceed by himself he should be thankful to the person who knows and advises. What's wrong with this?
Over 400 banks closed and hundreds of companies filed for bankruptcy in US and yet they teach the world how to run a country...

Neither of them are good rulers specially China but the way America interfere in each and every country's matter is not acceptable too.

In the face of US...clear sign of China showing the middle finger.
I always wonder, do Australia, New Zealand and Canada have their own foreign policies? The seem to be working under the diktat of the US. Are these nations really sovereign? Look at Russia and China! Real sovereign nations.
After Russia, one more country with GUTS! Hats off to China!
